Here's the deal

It is no surprise to anyone who reads this blog that I lost my job. I got another one and I moved. Sadly I can't make both my mortgage payment and my rent payment and since I live here I make my rent payment. I have told both Bank of America and Citi Mortgage this story...NO LESS THAN 35 TIMES!

Yet they call. I have a contract on my house currently and I have let them both know. I can't cover them both and I have let them know. On Monday...ON MONDAY...I fielded 6...count them 6 phone calls from Citi...I even got the same guy twice. I tell the story over and over and over again until I am in tears, because the people who can help me won't and the people who can't help me call over, and over, and over again.

I have told them to stick it. I have told them to look at the account. I have told them that I have the bankruptcy paperwork drawn up and if they act like they will come after me I will file it and they will get nothing. And still they call. I was told that the law says that if you answer a singular phone call, they cannot call you again that day. That's a farce. So. I will continue to answer in the hopes that they stop. But I hope to hell that someone, anyone with an idea to make it stop will share it with me.

I hear you. I just plain quit answering them because there's nothing I can do to help them. (I get calls about medical bills we can't afford to pay) It sucks tho. :( I hope things get resolved soon for you and in the best way possible.

We have been getting calls for THREE YEARS for a woman who had this phone number before us. They have slowed to a trickle now, but for a full year there were 3 or 4 a week. Obviously bill collectors, who didn't believe me when I told them "So and So" doesn't live here.

Assholes!

So, no, I don't know how to stop them.
