At the risk of making each and every one of you ill, I would like to tell you that I had the sweetest weekend ever...get the barf bags now.
Let me open with LJ bet me, like wagered, her bottle of wine against my 12 pack that there WOULD be naughtiness. Mr. LJ even got in on it by calling the start time. It was on. When he finally got here, I was almost speechless. I didn't concede that he would actually come until I got the text that he was almost here. I will save you the dry heaving but at some point I violated one rule and I had officially lost. I didn't care a whole big bunch. I had forgotten what a man with the moral fortitude of more than tissue paper was like, but it was a nice reminder.
Sunday the girls came home and we ran all of the northland and had lunch. Finally we return home and watched "The Hurt Locker" (which I strongly recommend). For all of the things that I have missed in the last two years, I have missed simply having the physical touch of a man. Someone to hold my had or rub my arm or just lay his head in my lap. By the time the game started, I had resigned myself to the fact that I didn't wait 22 years to get busy, I waited 22 years to watch a football game with someone that I truly enjoy being around.
He did spend the night Sunday, and I have to say that when I go to bed tonight I'll be a titch lonely, but I will feel better knowing that even after that long, I can still look at a person and and have them see right through me. I like that.
This was my personal favorite!
